Longview, WA - Top 2A runners won their respective races yesterday, April 17, at Mark Morris High School with Ridgefield's Kyle Radosevich winning the boy's 1,600 meter and Columbia River's Lucia Ianello winning the girl's 800 meter.
Radosevich, the runner-up at the 2A state cross meet last fall, ran a season best 4:39.9 in the 1,600.
He is also the No. three 3,200 runner at the 2A level this season having run 9:37.55 at the Pasco Invite.
Ianello, a fourth place finisher in the 1,600 at the 2A state track meet last spring, ran 2:35.7 in the 800.
She is sixth in the state at the 2A level in the 800 with a time of 2:26.46.
Else where around the meet, Ridgefield's August Albers ran a season best 2:02.3 to win the boy's 800 defeating Mark Morris' Kameron Werner, who ran 2:08.3. which is also a season best time.
Werner was also second in the 1,600 behind Radosevich running 4:43.8 and the 3,200 running a personal best time of 10:35.2.
Theron Kramer of Columbia River won the boy's 3,200 in a personal best time of 10:19.7.
Other top three finishers on the boy's side were Ridgefield's Josh Bradshaw in the 800 (2:10.3, PR) and Logan Newman in the 3,200 (10:44.1), and Columbia River's Barna Simon in the 1,600 (4:44.5).
Ella Osborne won the girl's 1,600 for Columbia River running 5:54.7. She also placed third in the 800 with a time of 2:43.9.
Mark Morris' Rachel Pielaet won the girl's 3,200 in a personal best time of 14:32.2.
The Ridgefield girl's saw multiple top three finishers in all their races.
Placing second was Isabella Aven in the 800 (2:43.4), Ashley Hunter in the 1,600 (6:03.8, SR), and Kellie Nguyen in the 3,200 (14:39.2, PR).
Placing third was Jane McNeil in the 1,600 (6:10.5) and Shelby Fisher in the 3,200 (14:46.3).
What's Next? Ridgefield heads down to McMinnville, Oregon for the McMinnville Invite and Mark Morris goes to the Kalama Twlight Invite this Friday. Columbia River will be at the Elden Kellar Invite on April 26.
