Price Takes First in 800, 1,600 for Eisenhower

Yakima, WA - Eisenhower's own Jonas Price won two meets yesterday at the Cadets' Don Holder Track in a Columbia Big-Basin 9 conference meet versus Eastmont, Moses Lake, and Davis.

Price won his races by a combine three seconds running a season best 2:00.39 in the 800 meter and 4:44.35 in the 1,600 meter.


Price, who is ranked fifth in the 1,600 at the 4A level, also ran a personal best in the 400 meter running 53.73 and finished second.


Eisenhower's Alfonso Cuevas won the 3,200 meter running in a time of 10:09, and placed second in the 1,600 running 4:45.16.


Nathan Valenzuela was third in the 800 for the Cadets with a time of 2:07.8.


Eastmont's Jarred Barnes took second in the 800 in a season best time of 2:02.52 and Gus Wavra and Tanner Child were third in their races with Wavra running 4:51.14 in the 1,600 and Child running a season best 10:52 in the 3,200.


Dan Montes of Davis was sixth in the 800 running a personal best time of 2:15.68 and Joshua Cooper from Moses Lake was second in the 3,200 running a season best time of 10:28.


Eisenhower's Sophia Rodriquez took first in the 1,600 on the girl's side running a season best time of 5:35.86. Rodriquez was also third in the 800 running 2:32.38.


Madi Oliva ran a personal best time of 12:35.94 in the 3,200 for the win. Oliva ran another personal best time in the 1,600 running 5:41.18 and place third.


Moses Lake's Charlie Gregg won the 800 in a season best time of 2:30.36, and finished second in the 1,600 with a another season best time of 5:38.94.


Eastmont's Annelise Bauman placed second in the 800 running a personal best time of 2:31.87 and Sara Bradshaw was third in the 3,200 running a personal best time of 13:16.4.


Davis' Renelle Christensen was second in the 3,200 with a season best time of 12:42.72 and fourth in the 1,600 running a personal best time of 5:45.85.


What's Next? Eisenhower and Davis will be at the Blue Devil Legends Invite and Eastmont will be at the Viking Classic tomorrow. Moses Lake is at the Kiwanis Twilight Invite tonight.
