Interviews with The Runner WA: Cade Brown

Once Bellingham's Cade Brown crossed the finish line his junior season in 2016 at the 2A state cross country championships in 31st place, it was pure disappointment.

Coming into the state's biggest race of the year as a top five runner, Brown was destined for another state medal, perhaps a top three finish.

Sadly, it wasn't meant to be that day.

From that moment moving forward, Brown's mental perspective took a different turn, and he was determined to come back stronger than ever his senior season.

And on November 4, 2017, Brown crossed the 2A state cross country finish line a state champion defeating a fellow District 1 opponent by .7 tenths of a second.

This would be without a doubt one of the greatest comeback stories in Washington state high school sports.

Brown joined Keenan Gray on Zoom Chat for another edition of Interviews with The Runner WA to talk about that historical day in Pasco, while also discussing what life has been like for him since moving on to run for the Yale Bulldogs.
