Arlington Soars Past Lynnwood & Everett

Arlington, WA - In all six races yesterday, March 11, the Arlington boy's and girl's distance teams toppled Lynnwood and Everett at Arlington High School in a WESCO league tri-meet.

Anne Louise Fernandez led the charge on the girl's side for the Eagles as she won two races in the 800 meter and 1,600 meter. She ran a personal best 5:31.64 in the 1,600, and then later a 2:34.63 in the 800.

Also from Arlington winning a race was Maggie Delaney in the 3,200 meter as she ran a personal best time of 12:09.64.

Tailer Cochran was second in the 800 and 1,600 running two season best times of 2:38.72 and 5:40.9 and Katelyn Morris was also second in the 3,200 running a personal best time of 12:21.84.

Hannah Johnson (5:58.07), Paige Nelson (6:04.94), and Brittany Anderson were top five in the 1,600 from Arlington.

Lynnwood's Gergana Gerogieva ran a personal best 2:46.49 in the 800 to finish in third place.

Everett's Jadyn Ogden placed the highest in an event for the Seagulls finishing sixth in the 1,600 running a season best time of 6:07.58.

On the boy's side, Arlington went one through three in each distance event.

Chance Pearston ran a personal best 4:36.64 in the 1,600 for the win, and also placed second in the 800 running 2:09.68.

Brandon Moore won the 800 in 2:08.78 and Blake Landry won the 3,200 in a season best time of 9:58.05.

Vincent Loftis placed second in the 1,600 and third in the 800 running two personal best times of 4:39.96 and 2:11.8. Noah Loftis was third in the 1,600 running a season best 4:40.46.

Aiden Emerson ran a personal best 10:01.10 to place second in the 3,200, and Ryan Barene was third running 10:16.77, a season best.

Favian Villanueva was another top performer for the Eagles running a personal best 4:42.61 to place fourth in the 1,600.

Lynnwood's Raphael Miranda was eighth in the 1,600 and seventh in the 3,200 running times of 5:11.41 and 11:20.35.

Gabriel Woodward of Everett was eighth in the 800 running 2:20.79. He also was fourth in the 400 running a personal best 56.43 second lap.

What's Next? Lynnwood and Everett will be at the Terrace Invite this Saturday. Arlington travels to Oak Harbor next Thursday.
